June 9th, from 6 PM to 9 PM
📍 Odeyalo Boutique
In collaboration with Ambre Giovanni, Odeyalo invites you to meet the artist and immerse yourself in her world by participating in a hand-appliqué workshop.
This gentle, playful, and meditative sensory experience combines cutting, assembling, and embroidery. Each participant will create a textile piece measuring 6 x 8 inches, depicting an animal from Quebec in its environment using Odeyalo's colorful fabric scraps. Choose from models such as a polar bear on the ice, a humpback whale in the ocean, or a squirrel in the forest.
All materials are included, and no prior experience is required.
About the artist: Ambre Giovanni's work focuses on textile revaluation. By hand-assembling fabric scraps from Quebec fashion and costume designers, she enhances the territories and their cultural forms. Celebrating the art of slowness, she portrays worlds that are both familiar and imagined, aiming to evoke wonder and foster a more sensitive relationship with the everyday.
